SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK........

#1 Postby WXBUFFJIM » Sun Apr 06, 2003 8:06 am

Good morning everyone. Another busy severe weather day in the ARKLATEX region. A dryline will approach from the west later this afternoon while a developing area of low pressure moves east from Oklahoma into Arkansas with a warm front out ahead of that. Numerous showers and storms are likely throughout the day today and especially this afternoon and evening. Hail up to baseball size, damaging winds, and possibly strong tornadoes can be expected in this outlook area, which includes northern Louisiana and into Arkansas. Northern Mississippi will likely see this heightened severe threat later this evening. Also expect hail and damaging wind potential, although not as widespread for Lafayette, Lake Charles, and New Orleans.

A busy day for sure, stick around.
