Well from what the models are saying it looks like we better enjoy the nice weather we have for the next couple of days in the east because from the weekend on it looks stormier and then colder with a shot or two of snow later next week into the folowing week possibly.
Too make it short it looks like a cold front will move into the east with severe weather possible ahead of it then the front looks too stall near the NC/VA boarder and with that a low is forecast to form along the front in Mo and travel east thru Ky and then to the Ma coast. Now the question remaines will it take the turn up the coast? Right now its hard to tell because not all the model agree. Yes a couple say up the coast. While another says out to sea and then there is one that shows nothing. That nothing im not buying.
The end results will be alot of rain with severe possibilities in the south and while farther north it looks to be a cold rain possibly ending as snow along its path while north of the track it looks to be a possible heavy snow event?
The other issue with this system is it appears that it will tap into some very cold air and bring it into the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, and the Ne which could set up the next system indicated by some of the models and bring a Big Time April snowstorm into the Ohio Valley, Lower Lakes, Central Apps and northern parts of the ma up into the ne? This last system here. is still a long way out but should still be watched.
The reason i even mention these possibilities is because for some reason the models are holding up in the long range. As was the case with the last couple of systems. And especially this last one which gave the ma and Ne snow on Sunday. That system i seen over two weeks ago on the models.
Who knows maybe they revamped the models. I for one sure cant wait for the new eta.
But either way guys check back for further updates on these systems. And as always this can and may change.
Lots of changes ahead in the next week or so.

Ugh. I hate the cold weather. It's April for gosh sakes, and it looks like it's the beginning of March outside! Snow everywhere and it's cool, too. High temperatures only around 32 degrees. They are predicting 3-7" of snow today, and the possibilty of 1-3" tomorrow with some sleet mixing in. Then more chances of snow at the beginning of next week. Man, almost all of our snow was gone at the end of March and then bam! We get tons more. So the melting process has to start all over again, but that can't begin until it warms up!

Today it appears a severe outbreak is possible in alot of the eastern US from Ill south to the Gulf and east to the coast. The thing im looking for though is a bigger return from the gulf and this is still to be determined?
Looks as if most of the snows will stay north in the Dakotas east to the upper lakes region. Same could be said for western Ny and up into N.Nh. N.Vt, and Western Maine. After Saturday its up in the air on how far south the snows will get? Model differences again.
More updates later with the severe threat and snow.
By the way it was a great day here with a high temp of 74 and sunny skies! Looks the same for tommorow maybe a little warmer though. After tommorow it looks Stormier and cooler going into the weekend and next week.

Nice forecast.
Cold wx wont last long,,,,I man with the AO (Arctic Oscillation) in a positive phase to almost nutral if ensemblee mean is correct during this timeframe than we lack blocking over the Pole and there for the cold air is confined to Canada and Northenr New England and New Foundland. The +PNA ridge setting up will creat ridging out West and set us up for a cold air shot but anything cold won;t last more than a day or so.

Well as of tonight the big suprise for has been the ice in Mich and pats of the ne. And it looks to be a Major ice event in these areas especially considering it is April! Wow is all i can say to the ice!
As far as the severe weather goes it looks spotty at best may see some action on Friday but i dont expect much because of the lack of gulf moisture and the Cap above. And what severe takes place will mainly affect those in Southern Ill, Indiana and Ky and the extreme sw Part of Ohio mainly around the Cinci metro Area!
Imo i think the system heading out of the rockies this weekend needs to be watched even more because i think this system will have alot more to work with especially in the severe Dept. And it wouldnt suprise me too see areas farther down south into the upper Ohio valley see a big winter event take place as opposed to the places tonight and tommorow seeing all that ice and snow up in the Lakes region!
Either way this is something to be watched closely!
I will have more updates thru the weekend on the system now affecting us and the next system in line later this weekend into next week!
