Question about Hodographs

#1 Postby yoda » Wed May 26, 2004 1:50 pm

If hodographs are long, they produce a better chance for damaging winds, and if they are curved, then there is a chance for tornadoes? Am I getting this right? The new LWX AFD says that the hodographs are long in our area, supporting a high risk of damagaing winds. Can tornadoes occur when hodographs are long?
