Good Afternoon Everyone,
I would like to introduce myself as a new member of Storm2k.org. My name is Justin Consor and I am a Meteorologist at WeatherBug. I have found the site and postings to be very interesting and knowledgeable and I was hoping to draw on the expertise of the chasers and weather enthusiasts in this forum.
I am in the midst of preparing for a Storm Chase Week sponsored by my company, WeatherBug. The first week of May we will be in the Plains storm chasing and publicizing tornado safety to our users and hopefully allowing our users to experience the excitement of a storm chase from their computer.
WeatherBug is in the process of collecting photos of storms from the general public and chasers like yourself to begin promoting the week. I was hoping to encourage the users of this site to post photos for viewing in WeatherBug that you take on your chases that show the power of nature.
WeatherBug has a "Your Photos" section that is featuring spring storms and our users are excited to see the pictures of these dangerous storms from the safety of their homes. The photo section gives full credit to the submitter provided they input all the right information. Pictures must be recent (none from previous years).
To post photos, you must have downloaded the WeatherBug desktop application from WeatherBug.com and everything including that download is simple, safe and easy.
WeatherBug is in the top 5 News and Information sites in the entire world and over 25 million page views each month are registered in the photo section alone. This ensures that your pictures will get all the attention they deserve for the time and effort you are taking to get the pictures and track the storms.
Thank you for your time and wish you good luck and safety on all your chasing adventures.
