I'm FLOODED OUT!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Mar 13, 2004 7:42 am

DANG  I received just a HAIR over 3.23" of rain overnight leading to SEVERE FLOODING here at the house, I can't see all the damage just yet as it's still dark, but the *little* creek out back has turned into a river overnight  I will assess the damage at daylight and post the results, this AIN'T good folks! Snow level was VERY high with this system, 9500+', so the 89" snowpack has melted BIG TIME and you know what they say, "SH** runs downhill!" WELL, I'M downhill and catching all the ****!

Dennis

to be relatively localized as the rainfall today seems confined to your area westward to about Pinal County and then southward. There's an orographic component to your rain as the low level flow is shown by satellite to be easterly. Snow levels are indeed high as TUS was calling them above 8k. We are having less intense but nevertheless excellent rains down here today. Not bad for a couple of systems that even the normally wet models were saying would be dry.
