^^^This still wasn't wrong though (barely).
Said left split is pronably what helped to keep this a mere 5-10 miles out of the DFW suburbs.
Had this cell track over Highway 380 or further south, we'd have much bigger problems right now.

RV Park also apparently hit in Claremore but much like DFW another 20-30 miles south and it'd be many times worse

Major tornado in NW AR now, massive CC drop. Same storm that produces the Claremore tor (and a few others since then)

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Some speculation that there may be 3 close tornadoes/funnels (1 anticyclonic) at the moment in the Decatur-Gravette, AR area.

Re: Texas Spring 2024
A non-severe MCS just blew in from the SW out of the Big Country.
Getting some pretty impressive wake winds with it.
EDIT: Crazy enough, this season doesn't cease to surprise. Now getting widespread non-thunderstorm gusts over 60 MPH.

Re: Texas Spring 2024
Now a High Wind Warning has bene issued for Dallas and Collin Counties until 7am.
Of course, the most "severe weather" action DFW proper has seen this season would be from wake winds of all things.
As I said before, what a season!

Another 10 miles south would have been an epic disaster.
DFW core got missed again (I didn’t even get a drop of rain). But the winds were crazy.
Glad the site is back up.

Re: Texas Spring 2024
From what I can determine, the May 25, 2024 Valley View, Texas EF-2 tornado (preliminary rating from Fort Worth NWS) is now the deadliest tornado in the country so far for the year 2024.
With 7 confirmed deaths, it surpasses the Greenfield, Iowa EF-4 tornado on May 21, 2024 that killed 5 people.

Re: Texas Spring 2024
Got to be honest, tornadoes are something I increasingly loathe. Fascinating when they are in a plowed field in the middle of nowhere, I hate the destruction and human misery they cause many other times.
Last night was a hard night in my home region’s backyard. I’ve never seen such a supercell thunderstorm like that continuously producing PDS tornado warnings only a half hour from my Denison home.
While I’m thankful for family and friends in the area who are ok, I’ve shed a tear or two today for those who are not ok and are suffering like this man who is hospitalized.
He had to be informed today that his wife and children did not make it. I can’t even imagine and I’m praying for him in his grief today.

Re: Texas Spring 2024
We should start to see the transition to MCS season here soon and the end of discrete tornadic producing cells.
