The past five days have been very nice and warm...........highs as high as 83 degrees, with overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Today.............we were treated to partly cloudy skies and a high of 81 degrees..........and a dewpoint of 65 degrees!!!!!!
YEAH I GOT MY OBX WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Temperature/Dewpoint spread of 81/65 is not too shabby..............and it DEFINITELY qualifies as genuine OBX Weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went outside and luxuriated in the warm OBX breezes this afternoon. Oh it was SO NICE!!!!!!!!! We have south winds at 12 to 24 mph.........Just like at OBX!!!!!!!!
If only there could be a couple lows along that darn front, to keep it far from me and my beloved OBX weather for one more blessed week!!
I love this weather SO MUCH!!!! It reminds me of the Outer Banks SO MUCH!!!! Because this weather is EXACTLY what it was like in Nags Head when we went down there Oct 10 through 13.
Oh precious OBX weather!!!! If only it could stay for a few more days!!!
Let that dratted cold weather stay way, way far North in northern Canada where it belongs!!!!!!
And let me kick back and enjoy my beloved OBX weather!!!!!!!!

Yep I am, but I like my OBX weather for now. Early November is the time for OBX weather, and then January/February is the time for heavy wind-driven snows to shovel.
But the snow can wait. I want to enjoy my OBX weather right now!! Besides, warm weather south of Canada will help storms build snowpack in Canada, then later the cold air will BLAST south into the US in January/February bringing all our snow.
I want that cold front to just chill out for 7 more days, and let me enjoy my 81/65 temperature/dewpoint spread for another week!!!!
This is the very best OBX weather!!!!!! Why would I EVER want a cold front to spoil it?!
There is this beach located at Leesylvania Park along the Potomac River. I went there the other day, just a few days ago.
Today's weather is so reminiscent of the Outer Banks, and with that spectacular 81/65 TD spread and those 12 to 25 mph SSE winds, it will set up 2 foot waves on the Leesylvania Park beach. When they break on that sandy beach, it sounds kind of like surf. With this kind of weather, you can lay down on that beach with a beach towel and close your eyes and begin to imagine that you are on the OBX listening to waves. I did that, and I could almost have sworn I could smell salt air a couple times. It was really neat, I began to imagine I was back on the Outer Banks at Nags Head. I played some music on my CD headphones and lay back and enjoyed those OBX breezes!!! Later, I walked along this beach and looked way downriver where it looked just like the ocean, the water was the same exact color and it looked like the ocean horizon had at OBX. There was even a pier on this beach and there were people fishing off it. I walked under the pier with the waves breaking and I enjoyed my OBX weather.
Yeah I really enjoy OBX weather and the beach and I really don't want this cold front to spoil all my beautiful OBX weather!!

JCT777 wrote:Well, unfortunately this cold front is going to cool things off for Friday through Sunday. I am a cold weather lover, so I will welcome temps in the 40's (instead of the 70's). It may warm up again next week, though.
I don't like that cold front one little bit. It's so very much like it was at Nags Head the Friday night we were there (Oct 10). It was cloudy Friday night and drizzly and 66 degrees at 1am with a dewpoint of 63 just like right now!!! We have such wonderful OBX weather right now!!!
If only that dratted cold front could just become stationary tonight, let me have one more blessed day of warm OBX weather, with a 77/64 temperature-dewpoint spread. Just one more day of OBX weather, one more day of walking around, pretending I am back on the Outer Banks enjoying one last precious jebwalk in the warm OBX breezes!!!
It's so very much like OBX out there now!!!! We have a 66/63 TD spread at 130am just like it was on Friday night Oct 10 at Nags Head!!!
If only I could have just one last night of that weather!
Maybe I will get some more OBX-like warmth next week. Maybe it will hit 75 degrees with perhaps a 55 degree dewpoint. A 55 degree dewpoint isn't quite OBX weather, but its close enough. I hope it happens!!!!
Oh please let our OBX weather last another day or two!!!

Well, we have had another very OBX-like day today!!! Last night it was 66 degrees with a 65 degree dewpoint!! In the house it was 75 degrees at 2am!!!
Today, we had cloudy weather with rain, and 67 degrees with 65 degree dewpoints!!!!!
Now that is nighttime OBX weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I enjoyed another blessed day of OBX weather!!!
Its still 65 degrees with 65 degree dewpoints!!!! Very enjoyable OBX-like weather with some rain.
There is a low along the front, I am thinking that the low might hold up the front for another 12 to 18 hours, giving me one last warm, humid OBX-like night!!!!!
Then the inevitable cold air will blow away all my OBX weather and I will shiver and long for my OBX days again.
Come ON, Warm-up!!!! Warm up again to 75/60 TD spreads again for a few days!!!!!
Give me a few days more of my beloved OBX weather.
