...WARMEST OCTOBER EVER RECORDED IN KEY WEST...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR OCTOBER 2003 WAS 82.8 DEGREES. THIS IS
2.6 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OCTOBER AVERAGE OF 80.2 DEGREES. THE
PREVIOUS WARMEST OCTOBER IN KEY WEST WAS 82.5 DEGREES IN
1959...FOLLOWED CLOSELY BY 82.4 DEGREES IN 2002.

THIS MARKS THE FIFTH MONTH IN 2003 THAT KEY WEST HAS SEEN RECORD OR
NEAR RECORD WARMTH...INCLUDING THE THE SECOND WARMEST MARCH
EVER...THE EIGHTH WARMEST MAY EVER...AND THE THIRD WARMEST AUGUST
AND SEPTEMBER EVER.
