Did ok out here with the Presidents day storm................Got about the same as you did.................But it all shut off before any mixing could take place................My mother told me that the snow drifts were high there with some up to her neck on her deck........................Didnt get no lightning or drifting out here...................

King - I just read your winter weather outlook. Very nice work! :) 8-)

I happen to agree with the basic idea of Eastern Trough, Western Ridge through at least January. Which means wetter and colder conditions in the eastern US and drier/warmer conditions out west. IMO, this pattern COULD break down in February - but it would still mean an overall cooler and wetter winter for most in the east. Looks like the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley will get good snow totals too - probably 125 to 150% of normal. I will be more specific and detailed with my thoughts by late October and November.
