Watertown breaks August rain record in 1st 11 days

#1 Postby nystate » Tue Aug 12, 2003 8:55 am

Just read it in the paper today, we broke our old rain record of 8 inches for August, our total amount of rain from August 1-11th is 9.04 inches :o :o Thankfully, we have had no widespread flooding, just a few incidents here and there. NWS says storms rolling through today could drop another 1-2 inches, but tomorrow, the forecast is mostly sunny with no rain! FINALLY!!!!

Philadelphia, PA has had an all-time record of 16 consecutive days with measurable precipitation. If they get any rain today (which is possible), it will make 17. But after tomorrow, it looks to be sunny and dry for quite a while. 8-)
