Week of Showers and Thunderstorms expected
With a trough over the Appalachians, it is transporting muggy, tropical air up the East Coast...causing a daily episode of heavy showers and storms. The ground is obviously saturated, because after a 2 minute downpour, streets were covered with water...and there is no end in sight for the next 5-7 days, at least.

I have to agree with you. Last month, I recorded over 7 inches of rain. This month so far, I have received over 2.5 inches. My garden is a total flop this year. I had to pulled out the cucumber plants because they had rotted in the ground. My squash plants arent any better. Thankfully, most of the shower activity has been to the east of my location the last couple of days, but with this pattern, anything can develop.
How about a week of nice sunny weather and really low humidity for a change...I could take it and I bet many other people wouldn't mind a change in the weather either.

More heavy showers and storms have moved through my area this afternoon. They started a little before 1 PM EDT and have just about ended as of 4 PM. Although I don't own a rain gauge (plus I am at work), I would guess that we had to pick up well over an inch of rain this afternoon, possibly close to 2 inches. :o

My Goodness...
please don't say that...any more heavy downpours will aggravate
the flooding scenario so as it is!!!!! :o :o
