Good to hear from you too KOW! :D I was a bit concerned watching your area get repeatedly slammed and also reading your prior posts. Looks like by Friday you should be out of it....highs in the 70s!! 8-)

Just had a 63 mph gust reported at Evansville airport 1/2 hr ago. I'm about 7 mi ESE of there but haven't had anything too severe. Although the dog is still hiding under the desk. It's a slow mover, much to her despair.

Take care!

This pattern seems to repeat the 1999 Severe Weather Season. I lived in
Ohio during that season before moving to SC in Aug. 1999.

There's been at least 10 seperate MCSs (Mesoscale Convective Systems) that have moved across the Ohio Valley since July 4th. There was at least TWO Derecho type systems. The rain has added up as a result of these thunderstorms, with 6.12" of rain measured here (10 NW Cincinnati) from the 4th through the 10th. I've witnesses similarly active patterns before, but haven't recorded such a high rain total from repeat MCSs. Wilmington, OH radar estimates that greater than 15 inches of rain may have fallen since July 4th across east-central Indiana and west-central Ohio and up to 20" in isolated spots in west-central Ohio (assuming no hail contamination).
