It's Leonid time!

#1 Postby Stephanie » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:00 pm

The Leonid meteor showers run from November 13-20, with November 17 - 18 the most active.

Now, I usually do not bring these up, but I SAW A METEOR flash by me directly above on the way home tonight. It was about 5:50 pm so just about dark and I was heading north. I noticed a flash and looked up to see a white streak flash north and then disappeared. :D

I was hoping that there was some kind of meteor shower activity happening now. I feel more confident in what I just saw. How cool!

I gott see that one. Also, big meteor showers include Geminids next month and Quadrantids in January. 8-)
