Wettest Month since October 1997

#1 Postby Scott Patterson » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:44 am

The month is barely half over, but it's still the wettest month here since April 1999! Almost 3 and a half inches of rain has fallen so far. We're still in drought, so it has been nice. The snow will start falling soon.

Much of the US is still in drought.

Edit: It's now the wettest month since October 1997!

I'm jealous. So how much rain did you get from the storm that just moved through? It was the wettest storm in Salt Lake City for a year, but man, the wettest month in 10 years? I wish I could say that...

Officially 3.82 inches for the month so far, but only .64 was from the last storm.

Wow, did a powerful thunderstorm move over earlier in the month?

Man, the last time we saw that much precipitation in a month was December 2003 (3.97 inches).

Yes. Most of it came from two storms. One was on the 5-6th and one on 16-17th.
