400 pm edt sun jun 3 2007

...flood watch remains in effect through monday morning...

the flood watch continues for

* the pennsylvania counties of bucks, montgomery, chester,
delaware and philadelphia, for the new jersey counties of
hunterdon, somerset, middlesex, mercer, inland monmouth,
northwestern burlington, camden, gloucester and salem, and for
new castle county in delaware.

* through monday morning.

* rain, heavy at times, will spread north across the mid atlantic
region this evening and overnight.

* rainfall amounts will be generally one and a half to two and a
half inches, but isolated higher amounts approaching three or
four inches are possible.

a flood watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain
across the watch area which may lead to flooding along streams and
creeks. if you are in the watch area, keep informed and be ready
for action if flooding is observed or if a flood warning is
issued.

one way to keep on top of existing and forecast conditions on
waterways throughout the region is to monitor the advanced
hydrologic prediction service /ahps/ available on our homepage at
http://www.weather.gov/phi. just click the ahps icon on the left hand
menu.
