Just curious what it looked like for 2005 which were the record driest? I tried to look for it but i duuno? I always hear that if we have a bad rainy season it doesnt look good for hurricanes?

The only reason Louisiana isn't a darker hue on that map is due to the northern half of the state getting in on rains from the tail ends of systems that stayed well to our north.

Anywhere south of Bunkie is parched!

It was very dry in the East last spring as well.

All our rain fell in October.

Texas had near normal precip???? Where? At one NWS observation center in the middle of no where?
