Too dry for noreaster to move up to NY?

It seemed like yesterdays storm just stalled over New Jersey and didn't make it all the way up to NY as they said it would.

Rain hasn't been in the southern New England forecast for today, as of last night and earlier today... according to the National Weather Service in Taunton, Massachusetts (close to where I used to live).

If New York City actually got some of the activity, southern New England really couldn't of missed out on it.
