It looks like some very cold air is in store for the Eastern US around the 1st of December. Thickness values even show it cold enough in the upper layers of the atmosphere to support snow.

Farmer's almanac
.....and the Farmer's almanac has been calling for snow the week of x-mas in the SE since early fall. If that materializes I'll drop all other weather info sources and go with the Almanac!!
