Not a historic hit like the ETA 12Z yesterday (never bought into that much anyway) but still a solid snowstorm for the northern half of NJ, eastern PA north of about ABE up to AVP and points to the NE. South of there a mix of rain to ice to sleet to snow from far SE to just NW of Philly. So here it is:

SE NJ: 1-2": After a mix of rain, FR & IP. Moderate icing possible away from the coast.

SW NJ & Philly Metro Area: 2-4" After mixed FR & IP. Significant icing possible.

NW of Philly: 4-8" After a period of IP. Lowest amounts SE section and highest amounts N & W section.

Central NJ: 4-8" After a period of Rain (coastal sections) FR & IP. Significant icing possible. Lower amounts coastal and southern sections higher amounts inland and northern sections.

NE PA, NW NJ & far Northern NE NJ: Mainly Snow. 8-12" most areas with 12-15" Parts of Pike County in PA & the northern and higher elevations of Sussex, Morris, Passaic & Bergen Counties in NJ.

NE NJ, NYC Metro, Western LI & Coastal Southern CT: 8-12" Mixed precip early then quickly to snow once heavier precip begins.

Mid Hudson Valley, Interior Southern CT & perhaps eastern LI: 12-15" Mainly snow north with some mix early for LI. For eastern LI precip may last longer before pulling out thus sligthly higher amounts then over western LI.

So thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Still would expect a few surprises in there somewhere. Some good and some not so good!

And the overall Jackpot likely somewhere in interior southern NE (ie NW CT to north central CT) at about 15-18".

Nice map, dafwx. Looks a little conservative for my area, but that could be a wise decision.

jdt - Sounds good. I am just hoping the coastal storm starts getting itself together soon. Otherwise, most everyone's predictions will be too high.
