Dude, do you even begin to realize how lucky you are?

You're going to get 11 inches of snow tonight.

Then tomorrow, those frigid winds will blow that snow all over the place. You are going to have a free, front-row seat to one of the greatest wonders of this world: Blowing snow, and LOTS of it. Because you will get 11 inches tonight, there will be a drift potential for tomorrow for drifts of up to four feet. The snowpack will ensure extremely high surface albedo (reflectivity indices) and you will enjoy very, very, very cold conditions. I would not be surprised if you do not get out of the upper single numbers tomorrow.

By sharp contrast, N VA will have no snow, and because of the lack of snow cover AND the fact that this airmass, while certainly cold, WILL modify some, this will result in N VA having highs tomorrow in the upper 30s easily.

Cherish that snow!!!! This winter, snow is indeed a rare event in Virginia. But YOU have been blessed with such a beautiful thing. Eleven inches of snow is a lot of snow to be plowed; if you have a local Mall, go to their parking lot tomorrow night. You will see HUGE piles of plowed snow, which will top 20 feet in height. You are going to have a free, front row seat to one of the greatest modern wonders of this world: HUGE plowed MOUNTAINS of snow !!!! You will enjoy the very best opportunity of them all: To actually get to see what I just described!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ENJOY ALL THAT SNOW!!!!!! ENJOY IT FOR ALL US MID ATLANTIC FOLKS WHO WILL LIKELY NEVER SEE SUCH A THING THIS WINTER!!!!!!! :) :)
