One point that is important.

While the proximity of systems might ordinarily mean one can write off much amplification, there is an additional ingredient in the period in question that is a potentiall important consideration: the extreme cold air that will be present. Pre-storm baroclinicity can be a predictor of development.

In short, the presence of an extreme Arctic air mass for Thursday could lead both to remarkably high snow:water ratios and greater amplification than might otherwise be the case.
