wrk... what happened in Bayou LaBatre? Emergency Management activated this morning and they advised people there to get into their homes, close windows and turn off all ventilation systems. They also designated shelters at the Bayou LaBatre volunteer fire dept.

AMMONIA LEAK
A 600 gallon ammonia leak in Bayou La Batre has forced emergency management officials in Mobile County to order a ''shelter in place'' for a segment of the town'spopulation. EMA officials are ordering residents living in an area from University Road to Highway 188 South to stay indoors, close all windows and close all ventilation systems while crews contain the spill.

The leak occurred about 10:30am at Fisherman's Marina near Shell Belt Road. Mobile Fire-Rescue's HazMat crews along with Bayou La Batre Police and Fire are working the accident. A command post has been set up at the Bayou La Batre Police Department. There have been no reports of injuries. At last report, the leak has been contained and the shelter in place order was expected to be lifted.

And here I am basking in the 70s. I am eagerly awaiting the cold air.

How long has it been snowing there?
