What happened? (Southeast, Texas)

Just a few notes. We were not supposed to get this cold. I live up in Conroe and it is 38 and holding. They are calling for it to get up near 50 but it won't even get close to 50 today. I don't see it moving much off of 38 degrees if at all. The next day or two will even be colder I am sure. We also have a chance of precip. in the next day or two. Hmmmm

I'm not all that good at reading models so with that said, I'm looking for a couple of answers.
Are the models looking colder now with this last front?
Are the chances of frozen precip. possible?
And.......will the true arctic air be able to filter down this way in the near future?

By the way, I'm not complaining.lol
