Snow/ice/cold...anything for south Mississippi??

#1 Postby timNms » Sun Jan 04, 2004 4:59 pm

According to accuweather's long range forcast, south MS is supposed to have ice on or around the 14th.

Anyone know if the arctic air will make it down this way this week or next week and is there any chance that we'll get some snow out of this?

Thanks,
Tim

There was some discussion in another thread about a big storm on or around the 14th if I recall correctly. I'll try to find that and link it here. :)

Don't use the Accuweather profiles from that far out as they are usually WAY off ... but there is SOME potential for a winter storm in the Southland in that timeframe ... SFC details are not clear but the overall pattern seems to support such an event.

It's starting to look like a storm will develop in the deep south and make it's way up to the midatlantic and NE. Enough cold air should be in place for even the Hampton Roads to see all snow.
