Yes, it can snow in the Midwest. Such cities as Chicago can receive major snowstorms.
Winter 2003-04 is still in its early stages, so one should not write off the prospects of at least a meaningful snowstorm even if the occurrence of blockbuster snowstorms is less frequent. In fact, some of the model guidance is trending toward providing parts of the Midwest with a holiday gift of snowfall.
For now, some photos from Chicago to offer reassurance that it can snow in the Midwest.
