NYC too far south! Blizzard cancelled.

#1 Postby rmjokers » Fri Dec 05, 2003 9:58 pm

Been watching the QPF drop all day for the southern end of the second system. At the start of the day the 1" boundary exstended into central MD. Now it is over LI per 0z ETA. The trend says this storm has been overhyped for some!

The 0z ETA is an outlier...takes the deformation zone too far to the north whereas the RUC and GFS keep it in the NYC area.

the ETA solution IMO is bullsh!t

Any deformation zone over NW jersey or are snow totals having to be lowered here per new data? Myself, i am going with 4-6" more from second round here
