Beautiful Scene in the hills of Chester County PA

#1 Postby ChescoPASnowman » Fri Dec 05, 2003 4:41 pm

Hello all
Snow total so far today 6.5" and still snowing. No mix at all here today at 705 ft ASL in NW Chester County PA. Interesting to see what will happen with part deux later tonite. I think it might not be quite as robust as this first punch was today. Time will tell.

Between 4" and 5" here in central Montgomery County at this point. Hoping the 2nd storm lives up to its billing (which in my mind is an additional 5 to 10").

I've been at work in Thorndale since 10am. I just measured 3.5" here with some obvious compression due to the mixing that occurred for a while. When I left my house in Parkesburg we had about 3.5" with light to moderate snow for most of the day since then. I'm guessing that I'm between 6-7" as well.

I measured that right before my post. Like I said, there was period of warming with rain mixing in which compacted the snow before I could get an accurate measurement. I'm sure the official measurement will be higher, but not by much.

My house in Parkesburg is located at 690' in elevation. I seem to notice slightly higher snowfall accumulations that you'll no doubt see at your new location.

Ever been to the Midway Grill? We opened our second location in Thorndale almost a year ago.

Yes, we're located next to the old Giant supermarket building. Our Coatesville location is located on Route 30 as well.
