I've signed up for his newsletter no less than 5 times and never have recieved it. I never really said a bad thing about the guy. I guess its safe to say he stinks (In this storm anyway) at forcasting major EC events.

Yeah, he did stink with this one. He sucks with tropical systems, and had a bad year last year IMO. I do respect him though as he is a pretty darn good met who backs up his thoughts with meteorological resoning (not always correct) I think he lets his stubborness and need to be definitive get in the way sometimes.. I don't think I've ever seen him even hint at not neccesarily knowing how a storm will impact folks. He's too definitive at times. When he's right he looks like a king, when he's this wrong he looks like a fool.

I think the only real issue I have with LC - and I do believe he knows his stuff - is that there are times when he busts and does not even mention it. Case in point - last year's Feb. 7 snow event in which my area got over 7". He dismissed this as a trivial < 4" snow event for some areas of the northern Mid-Atlantic - and this was the day of the event! It was more widespread than he predicted and some areas in southern New England got as much as 10". The next day I was hoping he would at least make some mention of missing the mark, but he just carried on like it never happened.

Right now...at least in the Mid-Atlantic...LC smacked a high fly ball to deep center. How can you say it is a total bust?

Maybe it's an out.
Maybe it's a Home Run.

I've been saying since Tuesday night this will underachieve for interior VA and northern NC and virtually zippo east of I-95 (I've been 4-7 in the Valley/3-5 central VA and probably still am too high). If one watches enough of these things try to develop, one sees the signs.
