From Record Highs to Snow?

Buffalo Niagara had a record high yesterday of 70º. Today started out in the upper 50's but is now down to about 48 and still falling. NWS BUF is calling for a changeover to snow with 1-3 inches possible overnight. What a difference a day makes.

Sounds pretty incredible. My brother lives in Buffalo. Maybe I should give him a call tonight to ask how he is enjoying the snow. 8-)

John...i suspect that you will also change to snow on the back side of the precip sheild as the cold front comes through in the next few hrs. temp drops of 20 to 30 degrees are also possible within a short period of time.

RNS - well, the local forecast for my area calls for rain before midnight, then clearing and turning colder with an early morning low of 30 degrees. But I guess it is entirely possible that a few snow flakes fall before the precip stops.
