I assume you are referring to the Rockies/PLAINS/UPPER MIDWEST snow expectations ..because as far as I have read, no snow is expected basically east of the MISS RIVER(where almost everyone on this board is from ) ...teeheehee...

Hey now.... don't leave me out! :( LOL... We will probably see about as many flakes as are falling with this new skin (which I really really like). One of the local mets is calling for a light dusting here. I added snowfall totals to the bottom in my signature line. ;)

Temperatures around 70 degrees can easily fall into the low to mid 30's (at least) quickly. So, it doesn't matter how warm it is now, in a week or two there could be a day or so with temperatures 40 degrees cooler.

An Alberta clipper moved through our region today which gave us around 2 inches of snow so far. It still continues to snow lightly and with temps in the upper teens it will stick around.

No accumulation of snow here. However....

What's interesting maybe the amount of cold air advection, which roared in following the frontal passage. Even at 42 degrees, just before the precip ended, some bright banding did setup and sleet mixed in with the rain. The wind combined with the falling sleet was enough to sting me right in the side of the face. Temps were in the low 40s at the surface, much colder aloft. However factor in the winds, and the wind chill was down below freezing during the precip. Just a nasty setup. Even more nasty wx is on tap with cold air on Friday and Saturday following another rain event Thursday night into early Friday.
