I'm at 7200' here at the house....the reason for my low temps being even colder, I live down in a valley and as we all know, the cold air drains to the lowest point, "That's ME!" This could be, without a doubt, one of the coldest weekends since 1969.....I had a low temp of -42° on 3 Feb. 69!!!

congrats now send some of that my way hehe. But yes congrats this might be your turn to start posting good news for yourself/your area. I am just waiting here near Philly to see temps like those but each run of the models it is either held back or not even going to happen at all. Its frustrating after having such a fluke winter season as of last winter to have one heck of a great winter the very next one especially here on the EC MA area. Trends are our friends if tey are in good but trends are our enemies when its against us. Right now i am netural. Because somethings are not to very clear to me about the PNA and NAO and their forecasts. Usually Neg NAO and Pos PNA equal trough in the east not mid west. Thus the reason why i am confused to think that the NAO and PNA are forecasted to go their repected ways. Untill i see all the forecast models going trough or deep trough in the east i do not believe any of them like taking with a grain of salt.

Hey if you do get snow please take come pics and post them for us to view. Thank you.

Dennis - You could be flirting with zero degrees on Sunday night, if your temp is 5 to 8 degrees colder than what was indicated in your post. Now that's some cold weather! 8-)

They even have a heavy freeze warning for those folks *down yonder* in the Valley of the Sun! Warning them to cover their plants, protect their "PIPES" even.......I've NEVER seen a warning to THAT extent for Phoenix!

Well....the winds have picked up in a BIG WAY.....I've already had a peak gust over 52 MPH  and it's only 0630 MST. The NWS has updated the snowfall to start this morning, we'll see, I don't see any snow with winds this strong!

It got down to 41.9° here last night, which is our coldest of the season so far ... our heater kept clicking on and off all night, so I knew it was cold out.
