Everyone whining about this cold, just remember we’re only a month or two away from 6 months of oppressive heat and humidity- and likely continuing stage 4 drought :double:

I might be crazy but I swear I’m starting to see some very light echoes on the EWX radar tonight. No idea if it’s actually making it to surface.

I can see what you're talking about. Would be mist if anything but appears to be mostly in the west areas of Bexar County up into Kendall County (Boerne). Probably not reaching the ground yet though as dews are still low.

Cold air signal backing off for early March so I would definitely encourage the cold weather lovers in here to enjoy the winter like conditions over the next few days.

Plenty of flurries and precipitation across the Brazos, Austin area, here in Temple and just west of the metro! Seems like the column must’ve cooled for sleet/snow to be falling currently. Also an mPING out near Cisco

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Looks like it’s snowing per the radar in the southern parts of DFW.

Another band just set up there to the SE; Might hit Tyler and Longview. More moisture should settle in soon.

Still a pretty good 5h look though on both Euro and GFS Ensembles back end of week 2...negative EPO with the Pacific finally opening up. Get a system to dig far enough south, should be enough Arctic Air still around to potentially make things interesting first half of March!

The first week or two of march looks stormy. There could be a winter storm if the systems dig far enough south and there is some cold air to tap into. Or there could be severe weather event(s) if we end up in the warm sectors.

There is an EPAC WWB going on. Hopefully this will translate to a very wet near term period to accompany the below normal temperatures in early March.

Amazing! This one shattered a substantial amount of records all across the plains even down to the Gulf of America Coast (Galveston even broke a record low set in 1908)!

Has anyone checked on wxman57 lately ? Hope he wasn't injured during the wall destruction.

He's doing just fine. Saw him in the office on Wednesday alive and well. He even said he was going to drive home with the windows down and then go on a nice long bike ride.

After two mornings in the low to mid single digits, we only got down to 16 this morning under mostly cloudy skies. Looks like we might get above freezing today. I’m still rooting for a cooler March.
