That's about what our yard looks like Yukon. The flakes were big and coming down like crazy for a while!

Looks like some more heavy stuff will head this way from around Midland.

Wonder if we end up with more snow than sleet if the red river is already changed over

31' at the DWC and ice forming on anything not touching the ground. I'm getting worried about this freezing rain, hope it turns to sleet quick or I might be pulling out my generator.

Heavy Sleet now in Southlake, already accumulating on the roads, we got some deep puddles here so there might be some thick ice here in the morning.

Whoever get's under those bands down in Midland and Odessa is going to see some very heavy snow/sleet/frz rain. I wonder if they will expand in width?

Very curious how this is going to play out in the northern Austin metro. Temps are dropping quickly. My PWS is showing 41 already and steadily declining.

Have to agree. The temperatures have dropped quicker than expected, at least that's my impression. I'm not saying the front is more potent than forecast, but the onset of the temperatures does seem to be quicker. I've gone from 67 to 41 in a little less than 4 hours. It will take a pretty considerable reduction of that rate to hold off the freezing temperatures until midnight.

It looks like more storms have developed in the past hour behind the initial band down there. The radar still looks good for a significant winter storm, at least to me.

Currently getting sleet here in Cedar Hill.
