It's kind of fun when were talking about the type of snow :cold:

Should be a wet snow with bigger flakes compared to 2/14. But it's still really cold vs the usual giant 31-34 snowflakes.

I drove back from Houston a few weekends back in that snow storm. Had flakes the size of dinner plates you could hear them smacking the windshield. Have never seen them that big before.

Yeah probably the same storm in January I went to Waco for those flakes were massive

Will the little snow melt we had today help ripen the atmosphere for more precip to fall? I went to work today ( by love field) there seems to be a lot snow already gone off a lot of the road ways just from traffic I’m guessing

Also passed a plow truck going down 80, never seen one Texas before

The pocket of snow that has formed just west of Granbury looks like it will be on top of DFW soon.

Basically a dry hole over DFW. The stuff to the west evaporates as it enters the hole. Maybe trying to moisten things up?

The DFW Dry Slot is back!

You guys . It's modeled pretty well. For DFW look to the southwest and south. That area is where the heavier qpf will build. I'm going to guess 0.4 to 0.75 liquid from DFW big 4 counties eastward/northeastward.

It’s absolutely just dumping. I honestly don’t know how much more snow we can take. Everything is already shut down and quite a few roads are impassable without 4wd.

Pretty decent snow coming down here in Abilene. Just glad it is not freezing rain or sleet.

I am not a meteorologist. Anything posted by me should not be taken as an official forecast. Get your information from respected sources such as NWS and NOAA. I get my weather information the same way Hank Hill does ..... I look out the window and say ... "YUP".

I have a bad feeling about the ice storm we are about to get in Montgomery County.

I love snow and sleet. Freezing rain is another story.
