Tonight will be a good test to see which model handles radiational cooling with snow on the ground. Canadian shows 5 and GFS/NAM show 17. Considering its 19 here now I lean towards the low end I'm going with 10 in my forecast.

Im hoping with sleet or snow or whatever on the ground, we can get to the teens here. Been since '96 since that happened.

Really glad our snow geese neighbors are being fed this morning but man, two winter weather advisory busts within a week for us Metroplexers is hard to watch. And by bust, I mean complete busts from the FTW NWS office for the 4th most populated metropolitan area in the country - rough week for that office. Hate to say it but the NAM appeared to perform the best with zero qpf reported at DFW..most other models had anywhere from .05 to .25 inches of qpf.

Looking ahead - Jan 25-30th looks interesting but cold air might be more difficult this time around but the good news is the Euro Weeklies had their most wintry run yet this winter - it appears much more action to come over the next 30-45 days!!!

If we’re going to continue having these dud events, my only request is that whatever wintry precip we do see, please make it happen during the day next time. It’s easier to see and less guessing if it’s dust or my neighbors pampas grass blowing around.

That would be nice, at least get to see it falling. But hey, at least we got a little.

True but still pretty impressive to see single digit temps.

Did you get even a dusting? Here all I can see is some ice pellets in the frozen bird bath. That’s it.
