Wow, they already called off school for Tuesday in my district in Tarrant County (Eagle Mountain Saginaw). And the surrounding districts are following. I think they have a conference call to coordinate because they are literally posting at the exact same time.

Except for this last storm everything was south, until it wasn't.

I’m in Denton county but I don’t think Flower Mound is going to cash in. But I’m definitely looking out my window waiting. Lol! Still spitting snow though. Woo!

I am glad somebody in the metro is getting that bigger band. I honestly thought it would slip north of Denton, even. I am sure that's really pretty.

They do manage to come back every summer but the next few months should be nice.

One really unique aspect of this storm is moisture content of this sleet. This "sleet pack" will have a lot of staying power, will be around for several days and cause of lot of freeze/thaw problems on area roads. We should start seeing School Districts cancel schools for multiple days this week.

We’re in Sherman (Grayson County). It’s a nothing burger. One flake every 5-10 seconds. Looks a lot more impressive than it is.

Here just south of lake Lewisville we were never under the green returns. But flakes definitely have gotten bigger. It’s just a ton of tiny snowflakes for us.

Most of the drops on the car are gone, those remaining are frozen. Every now and then I see something tinier than any snow flurry I have ever seen, a very, very small white thing floating in the air. Smaller even the frizzing drizzle that fell during 2021.

GEFS have cold air and precip the next two weeks but it doesn't look like the cold air will line up with that moisture. Seen mentions on below normal on weeklies through all of February, can't rule out more winter precip at least for areas near and N of I-20/

Since the sleet stopped very early this morning the flurries have been non stop in Lindale. Sometimes somewhat heavy with decent flakes by flurry standards. Still no accumulations from it.

I'm always down for a severe t'storm outbreak or Feb 2010-type snowstorm.

As far as Summer heat, it doesn't bother me. I'll take it over the current crap any time.
