Light sleet in Nola. So I guess it's official. I'll drink to that

Same here in Gretna. Pretty steady sleet on the Westbank with the occasional tiny flurry.

So its been heavy freezing rain today since about 30 minutes to an hour ago. And by heavy, I mean Louisiana heavy. It's coming down hard out there.

Hearing lots of sirens and skidding now in Baton Rouge.

Moisture is still building up nicely in Texas. San Antonio and Houston doesn't seem like they are done just yet.

Heavy sleet in Mobile for the last hour or so, with lots more yellow on radar heading this way. Interesting. I wouldn't be out traveling in this.

Is this storm moving slower than anticipated? Our local mets said it would be horrible by 4 EST and it hasn't even really arrived yet.

Sleet really starting to accumulate on roof tops, cars and grassy areas. It's also sticking to concrete and asphalt surfaces. I *really* wouldn't be driving right now unless it's an emergency. I nearly slipped twice just walking to the car and back.
