So I guess there is a warm nose up there, shucks (saw the balloon earlier showing none).
It's a sleet/snow mix now, mostly snow.
I guess I had a slight warm nose, a little more than Norman, but the warm nose is collapsing as I speak
That's good!

This forecast has been really good so far. Modern technology just amazes me. Folks on this board were seeing this 10 days ago.

I'm in Wichita Falls proper.
I am actually in Burkburnett. Front yard is definitely white with sleet.
You know where Kamay is? I'd spend days at a time sleeping above the shop on the road that heads to the Shell at the Y when we drilling wells. Leases with names like Munger, Waggoner Ranch, Kemp and Douglas. I drove in snow with no issues but seeing one car spin and others off the road heading down 287 to Forth Worth then Houston. I remember we worked in freezing drizzle, probably 2003.
Still seeing quite the range of forecast ice in Houston. I suspect nothing or almost nothing, but I assume David Paul on KHOU was showing NBM ice which was 0.11 inches. Will take precautions as if is more ice than that.

We’ve had a few claps of thunder with the heavy sleet. Pretty awesome.

I hope to hear that soon. Looks like DFW is about to be dry slotted for a while.

How accurate are those automated weather stations? I see where Graham is reporting light snow.

From NWS Fort Worth.
NWS Fort Worth @NWSFortWorth We are still monitoring sub-freezing air slowly moving south into our area. We have already received reports of freezing rain and sleet across portions of the Big Country. We expect sub-freezing temperatures moving into the Metroplex sometime between 10pm and 2am tonight https://x.com/NWSFortWorth/status/2014862821129953538

I’m in NW Frisco along 380 and I saw flashes and heard thunder. Just straight rain though. It’s coming. According to my cooking thermometer it’s 35 here. Pretty sure that’s a bit high. Definitely not at freezing.

32.7 degrees should be below before the next line of precipitation gets here hopefully it will be cold enough to fall as sleet and not freezing rain.

Makes sense on why onset of sleet for my area, then it's pure snow now
