Oh yea...I smell some storm chasing in my near future :ggreen: Like tomorrow
afternoon....adrenaline is pumping baby!!! :ggreen: :ggreen: :ggreen:

Of course- I hope there is no major storm that cripples the northeast- we don't
want disaster...but in this boring dry-season I love a good storm outbreak!!!
This is like when I was younger in Missouri in Tornado Alley and when the tornado
siren goes off we grab the camera and whoooweee!!! It's showtime baby!!!!
Now I don't want anybody getting hurt...but seeing these beasts go is wild

AccuWeather has the Northshore getting more snow then the South Shore and WHDH-7 has it visa versa..

What do you think Storm2k?

This was supposed to be our storm!

Original track was for the OV but now as you can all see it's going east.....shouldn't complain because we just had a major winter storm last week (several phases to it)......

I was hoping to take a day off from work because of this storm. Guess that won't happen now. Glad to see most of our snow is now melted after being in the mid to upper 40's today. Hope your all recovering well down that way on the river.

27 drops yesterday afternoon, could see the thunderheads to our North, and the storms skipped us totally this morning.

LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND MOVE NORTHEAST INTO CENTRAL FLORIDA THIS EVENING. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR A WARM FRONT TO DEVELOP IN THE FLORIDA STRAITS AND MOVE NORTH THROUGH SOUTH FLORIDA THIS MORNING INTO EARLY THIS AFTERNOON FOLLOWED BY A COLD FRONT THIS EVENING. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP ALONG BOTH FRONTS WITH THE PRIMARY IMPACTS BEING GUSTY WINDS, LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL, AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. HOWEVER, THE STRONGEST STORMS COULD EVEN PRODUCE A TORNADO.

At 5:30AM it was snowing with rain in Blue Bell and as I took the turnpike from PA it was snowing. When I got off at exit 7 in NJ it was really snowing and the temp at the time was 32.

I think I'll be leaving here at 11, going to go out for a smoke and see what it's like

Well, it was a minor to moderate storm...

NORTHERN FAIRFIELD-SOUTHERN FAIRFIELD-SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER-
NEW YORK (MANHATTAN)-BRONX-RICHMOND (STATEN ISLAND)-
KINGS (BROOKLYN)-QUEENS-NASSAU-
333 PM EST TUE FEB 3 2009

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST
TONIGHT...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST
TONIGHT.

LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING
COMMUTE. WHILE MOST ROADWAYS WERE ONLY WET AS OF MID
AFTERNOON...TEMPERATURES ARE NOW BELOW FREEZING AND ARE EXPECTED
TO CONTINUE TO FALL THROUGH THE UPPER 20S. SNOW IS STICKING AND
ICE IS FORMING ON UNTREATED SURFACES. THIS WILL MAKE THE EVENING
COMMUTE VERY TREACHEROUS.

ANOTHER 2 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED BEFORE THE SNOW STARTS
TAPERING OFF THIS EVENING. THIS WILL BRING THE STORM TOTAL SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH LOCALLY UP TO 5 INCHES.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.

The main roads were fine on the way home. The secondary roads were getting snow covered, FAST! It's really pretty out there now. There's no wind, the snow is sticking on all of the branches.
