Radar returns look fairly impressive coming into the western Metroplex. I bet y'all will see more! Besides, Ntxw promises 1-3 inches by morning.

Hey there no finger pointing!
Yeah it goes back and forth with sleet and snow now. If it sticks to stuff then that'll be easier to take with cell phones.

Like Portastorm said. Really impressive radar returns out in western Johnson county. Imagine it's sleeting or snowing hard there.

Re: Texas Winter 2011-2012...
Pretty much everyone today in a line from Houston to Waco to the eastern Metroplex and west has seen some kind of wintry precip. While it hasn't amounted to any significant amounts ... let's all remember what the computer models were showing for this weekend as late as Thursday. The GFS and Euro both underestimated what has happened.
Like Ntwx, aggiecutter, and I have been saying ... as long as the MJO is in phases 7-8-1 and we have at least some cold air to work with, we're going to have some opportunities as these systems roll through the state. The MJO really can be a huge influence on the weather despite La Nina.

A lot of reflectivity in southern Tarrant county. Someone is getting a heck of a sleet pounding!

Getting heavy sleet here now...whoops. Started writing this and now it has turned into some big snowflakes. They're not sticking of course, but they are pretty dang big.
Sucks my camera is acting up.

Looks like a Denton, FW, Cleburne, Meridian line is where the changeover to all moderate snow is happening heading east.
