[font=Arial]The wintry forecast has been expanded to include the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Many of us have to protect our vegetation, especially our recently planed areas. Also on Easter, kids are gonna have to wear gloves while finding their easter eggs as the wintry precip continues through that day.

Just hit midnight and I am at 56.5-degrees. Looks like that will be our official high today (though most will never know it since it will be in the 40s this afternoon), and thus no record low high temperature for April. However, we will still have a shot on Sunday if the high can remain below 51-degrees (which it might).

I have dropped another degree within just the last 30 minutes (now down to 55.5-degrees). If this rate continues, then I would expect a possible drop of another 13-degrees from the current readings overnight. This would equate out to lower 40s for my area and mid 40s for places such as IAH by sunrise tomorrow.

Looks like snow is already starting to break out in north Texas...

This is actually a bit earlier than expected in some places up there.

sleet reports have been coming in from all over. The woodlands, Missouri city, Montgomery, Livingston, etc. Looks like we may all see something today. Also, reports of light snow have been coming in from the Huntsville area.

So hard to believe this is all happening in April!

BTW: I am currently sitting in the upper 30s with a brief break from the rain. The weirdest part though is that my temperature continues to fall even with no precipitation. I wonder if the NWS might have to change up tonight's forecast to a colder and more wintry scenario.
