It's currently 37 here in Asheboro NC. Temps have been cooler all day than they called for. We got a chance.

Back to weather-Moderate sleet has just started here in Charlotte with a mix of snow. 37.1 DP 26. NWS did not say much about sleet, we will see. It is pretty heavy as I type.

Still moderate sleet and 36.1 evaporational cooling help drop temps rather quickly.

Is the snow/sleet mix sticking yet?

No, not yet. We are down to 35.6 degrees. The sleet balls are taking a bit, but they are melting. You can feel it bounce off ofyou and everything else outside. There is not that much snow mixed in yet. I can see it, but NWS said much more prevelent around midnight on into the morning.

Ouch...sleet balls sting when they hit you in the face. I'm hoping everything changes over to snow for you. Take pics and post 'em if you can for us snow-starved peeps. ;) :D

I agree, we do not need any more ice after Thursdays storm. It has that feel like it will pop into fat snow flakes soon. Remember we moved down from D.C. so we have some winter experience to work with. Will take and post pics if worth it.

Where in DC? I was born in No. VA and still have family there. I remember some really good snows when I was a kid...up to my (5 year old) waist a couple of times. :D

We lived in Fredericksburg. I was a district manager and had offices in Alexandria, Manassas, and Richmond.

Still mostly sleet and now 35.1, it is starting to gather up on the grill cover and patio furniture. Still some snow mixed in, but not much.
