nystate, those are awesome pics! I especially love the one of the interstate. Classic snow pic.

And arizonasooner, those 3rd and 4th pictures are INCREDIBLE. How much snow was on the ground? Had to have been a lot.

Windswept, I'm from Utah, so I would love to see those pictures. But unfortunately, they don't show up on my comp.

Now, here are my pictures from the incredible Christmas Storm of 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They're the only ones I really have, since I only recently got a camera. But it's a true winter wonderland. These were taken on the morning of December 26, 2003. At the height of the storm we had about 28 inches of snow on the ground! Also, we lost power for 4 and a half days. That part wasn't fun, but I loved the snow. Sorry they're so damn big, I don't know how to resize them.

Actually there was very little snow. But there was a ton of ice on the trees that resulted from the mist from the falls being blown to the Canadian side by a WSW wind while the temp was about 20F.

And here's a pic of my co-worker who is demonstrating the ice buildup on my camera bag while we were standing in the mist. This was a different kind of freezing rain.....

I went up to Snoqualmie Pass, Washington (Elevation roughly 3000ft) today and here are a few pictures of the snow banks.

This is a private residence's front lawn - I'm 5'9" for reference.

Just because there's tons of snow on the ground doesn't mean it's cold.

Oh, wait, you live in Texas.

That snow is awesome! Damn...did they get near-record snowfall up there? I'd be surprised if they didn't. We don't even get that much snow in the Wasatch Mountains.

Hell you could be Shaquille O'Neal or Yao Ming, and you'd still be tiny next to that pile of snow!!!!

I'm surprised the roof doesn't cave in on the Inn. Those are incredible pics. I've never seen anything like that before. Thank you for posting them.

 Well, at least now we know where all of our snow is this winter. Washington is hogging it all!

It started out cold and snowy and we all got our hopes up. Now it is nothing but a couple days of warm followed by a couple of days of cold, back to a couple of days of warm........and all we have gotten is sick. :grr:

Maybe after this weekend some of us will be able to post some new winter weather pics! ( Crosses fingers, puts pajamas on inside out and backward, throws an ice cube out the window and puts a spoon under the pillow before going to bed........we really are doing everything we can to bring on the snow!!!)

Believe it or not that is one of the least snowiest passes in Washington. And yes, it was a record month (January) for many of them for snowfall. Mt. Baker Ski Resort has about twice as much snow as Snoqualmie, picking up around 300" of snow in January alone (Snoqualmie got 172" in January).
