Do y’all people not care about cold weather or something in the SE? The lack of activity in this thread is weird.

This place is almost exclusively a TX board. Just the way it is. I suggest staying in the TX thread and using what they post to help determine chances east of there.

THIS particular thread is for DEEP SOUTH WINTER 2024-2025, not almost exclusively a Texas board.

I am aware. I was talking about the place as a whole. The majority of posters that come to S2K are interested in the TX area. I know this particular thread is for the Deep South.

I am aware. I was talking about the place as a whole. The majority of posters that come to S2K are interested in the TX area. I know this particular thread is for the Deep South.

Maybe for the winter, but for the tropics that’s a completely different ballgame. It’s like the people that live from LA to points east don’t care much about winter weather and are only interested in the tropics because during hurricane season the Talkin Tropics thread is loaded with people from those regions.

Is there any place to see what Baton Rouge is modeled to receive? There used to be an awesome link that was broken down every 3 hours or so that showed temp, precip amount, precip type, etc. I think that got shut down years ago, sadly.

Try not to take each run as gospel. The pattern is what we are after.

Isn't that the truth. It's almost always Lucy and the football with the models here. It's either too far south, too far north, the dreaded warm nose or a complete bust (most often). But, that's the way it's supposed to be, I guess. I believe the cold part, not sold on the snow part until the day before. Happy New Year!

Bases on today's runs, still a 50/50 chance NC sees some snow next week Tuesday.

It wont be a White Christmas , but it'll be nice to see as long as the power stays on!
