I know I complain a lot because this marks another event in DFW without an inch of snow, but I genuinely am happy for all you guys who are seeing once a decade snowfalls! For us metroplexers, the curse will end sometime!

Really happy for the central Texas folks, living precariously through these amazing pics! The southern half of the state have had a remarkable run the past 3 years relative to climo.

North trends will verify with that. Grats Oklahoma! Lol.

As Professor said earlier in this thread, north trends only verify if you don’t want them to

HRRR and NAM showing some possibility for wrap around snow still in the evening and overnight for the northern part of the metroplex. It’d likely be much less than what we’ve had today but with freezing temperatures at least!

I would love to post pics if I only knew how... we measured on our snowboard (wooden table four feet off the ground :D ) and we have about 3 inches. But since we are having a fire and I have poured a glass of brandy, I don't want to figure it out! It is still really snowing here northwest of Georgetown. I am in awe. Going to put our Colorado gear on soon and go for a walk in the woods!

Nice, looks as that this is the snowstorm of the season. Too bad it will fizzle out before reaching me

With the snow about to end here in Austin, let me say it's been a long 17 years! (this is the most snow we have seen since February 2004). I'd say we had about an inch and a half at my place but I live in the far southern part of Austin now. Folks in the northern part of the county got closer to 3". Here are some photos from around my place.

Snowing heavy now. I'd guess 1"/hr rate north of Tyler.

This was one heck of a rollercoaster ride for this system. We missed out up here on the Red River but I am glad other parts of Texas got in on some wintry mischief!

Abilene has cashed in well this winter as has Oklahoma, the pattern was ripe for southern plain snow storms, I'm glad to see that it ended up producing. I personally don't have room to complain about not seeing snow in 2 years, but I absolutely can't wait until the day that I get experience the white flakes fall down upon me.

Yes, thanks to EVERYONE here who posted all the awesome photos today.

Now, we have to get our DFW friends some real snow. They have suffered for too long now!

Just got back from an hour long walk through my neighborhood (well, finished about 3PM). Wet sticky snow the whole way; now, though, just a few flakes coming down. This is an old neighborhood, mostly big trees, so not really any wide open spaces to get a handle on depth.

Will need to take a ruler out later and measure accumulations here, but more than enough to build this guy.
