Reminds me of the flakes from the 2010 storm. Biggest flakes I've seen in my life.

When was the last time a snowstorm was as expansive as this one? Incredible. From northern San Antonio to near the Red River.

Snowing pretty steadily but no accumulations after about 45 minutes. Temperature has dropped so HOPEFULLY it accumulates.

Starting to accumulate nicely in Dripping Springs. Sticking to the trees makes it look like a winter wonderland.

Re: Texas Winter 2020-2021
I would say December of 2017 was the last time there was a snowstorm like this. I think San Antonio got about 1”-2” and it coated ENTIRE city. I’m pretty sure that specific snowstorm made it all the way to the Lower RGV/Tamaulipas, Mexico because McAllen & Brownsville got a little bit of snow as well.gpsnowman wrote:South Texas Storms wrote:UTSARoadrunner4 wrote:SNOW/Sleet/Rain Mix has reached Bexar County, primarily outside of Loop 1604!!!!!

Re: Texas Winter 2020-2021
It's started snowing here. No mix yet just snow. Coming down pretty decent. This reminds me of Christmas Day 2012 when it was forecasted to start as rain and turn to snow in the evening but instead snowed all day.

Upshur County (Gilmer) finally has snow. Nothing mixed in, just straight snow and coming down pretty good.

My temp has jumped to 35.6. Need some heavy rates to come through, but not happening so far. Pics from Cleburne they probably have almost 4 inches.

Dont recall ever experiencing thundersnow before, and I've lived in Chicago and Norway; maybe I just forgot. But I saw a flash, thought "huh, power transformer?" then heard the thunder.

The ULL looks to be moving due west towards the DFW area. Will there still be enough moisture around tonight for North Texas?
