Y’all some gluttons for punishment. I hate the cold but I do like some winter precipitation.

Okay, I'm taking a step back from the ledge now. Hopefully, we will continue with better trends after this morning's duds.

Right there with you :cheesy:

It's never easy getting snow in the south, especially on the Gulf coast lol

Things have to be just about perfect for snow on the Coast. Like Grandma’s peach cobbler, it ain’t exactly an easy task sometimes.

But once in a blue moon, just once, things come together for a nice little snowfall.

As long as it isn’t freezing rain. :shoot:

This is close enough now to start letting family and friends know the potential. I have family from Pensacola to Tallahassee.

The only thing that seems relatively certain is at a minimum a lot of cold rain on Tuesday will be followed by a hard freeze on Wednesday. I expect black ice everywhere. Beyond that, snow and freezing rain are probably 50/50 at this point. With chances higher in the western Panhandle.

Most of the coastal weather service offices are at 50% in the Monday-Tuesday range. I'm a little surprised it's that high at this point.

You were doubting things big time this morning. I said the EURO had the cold, and the GFS was off its rocker with the low too far south in the GOM. Well, what do we have now? An epic deep south snow event. Do not be surprised to see snow totals rise going forward.

Google *name that shall not be said* football. It’s from The Peanuts comics. She would always snatch the football away from Charlie as he was about to kick it. The joke became that *name that shall not be said* would snatch away our snow chances down here (or anywhere). It just happens a lot down here because it is so hard to get snow.
