no freeze here last night or anywhere in pinellas county that i could see and that wasn't a surprise. I had 34. i do think we freeze tonight and it could be substantial if winds calm down. take a look a tampa's noon observation: a temp of 45 and a dewpoint of 7!!! holy smokes! if that isn't the foundation for a wipeout i don't know what is.

Wow, talk about cold in Florida! That Jax temperature sure is eye opening. :cold: :cold: . I think tonight with calm winds will be the most troublesome period of this outbreak for southern Florida.

Yeah, it was extremely cold here this morning, the coldest so far this season. It's going to get even colder tonight, and I am afraid that this could potentially be a damaging freeze for many here in the state. Expecting upper teens here tonight, and low to mid 20s across a good potion of interior colder sections of Central Florida. Very cold that's for sure!

Here in NE Florida (away from all the water) I got down to 20F as well.
We were at 32F or below for 12 straight hours, and its now a balmy 41F with windchills in the mid 30s.

Should be in the mid to upper teens tonight, with another 12-14 hours below freezing.

NWS Tampa Bay has my area down to 33 degrees, and from prior experience, it'll probably be well below that. It got down to about 35 here last night.

Dewpoint reading at 2:00 p.m. ob from NWS Jax is 6 degrees with the air temperature at 44 degrees.

Extremely dry arctic air mass in place throuhout the region. It is so rare to see dewpoint temperatures this low in these parts that is for sure!

When was the last time we saw zero or below dew points in FL? At 3 PM, Tampa is currently at 0 deg and Vero Beach at -1 deg dewpoints.

Miami reads at a 16 degree dewpoint temperature and 23% humidity. This is like this past January all over again

unlike last night, temps should really tank after sunset. this is gonna be a bruiser. on the flip side, a vigorous warming trend will commence with sunup tomorrow.

It's on. Brooksville just dropped 7 degrees in an hour and they're already below freezing at 30 as of 7pm.

The temperature at 8:30 p.m. already down to 25.6 degrees. It definitely looks like where I am here that the temps by sunrise tomorrow morning will be well into the upper teens. Definitely shaping up to be the coldest minimum of the season and the duration of this freeze looks be right at 15 hours. Temps not expected to get above freezing until about 9:30 tomorrow morning in North Jax.

It's already down to 26F in Brooksville and 37F in Sarasota. I'll be watching this one very closely - with the wind having a NW component, I hope the immediate West Coast can be spared the worst.

Mesoanalysis, 10:00pm EST. It's a rare sight to see temperatures and dewpoints this low across Central and South Florida. Freezing pockets of 32F are already showing up even in South Florida.

My thermometer (in western Plantation/Sunrise) recorded a low of 28.0 degrees early AM on the 14th. Now at 11:35 pm it's 30.7 and dropping steadily!! This is really amazing stuff, at this rate we might see less than 25 by morning.
