How you doing up in NJ Stephanie?

At my house I had about 1.5" of snow. I know that points just south of me in NJ received over 3" and in Cape May County they received over 6". I can't find a darn snow depth map!

The storm probably came about 50 - 75 miles north of where it was initially forecasted. There were probably quite a few surprised people south of me when they saw all of the snow that fell.

Including me! didn't think I would see anything lol

The models were horrible in this storm. They did not lock in until 48 hours.

Here in the Northern Virginia region just across from the District line, the snow has stopped at about 3 to 4 inches of fine snow, and fog this morning. Our school system (10,500) is closed but the DC school system (45,000) is open with two hour delay. Hmmm. Our kids are going to be hating life when these snow make up days delay end of school to late June.

How did you fair last night Lester? Are Baltimore schools closed?

Well, our family is going to use the day getting organized for second semester, summer activities, submit taxes and more. Have a good day all.

If I pay for the supplies and the shipping and $10 for your time, will you FedEx me a cooler filled with snow? Fresh snow, not like streets-of-Baltimore-snow. Please? :)

Being a high school student, I love snow (it's a snow day right now, actually), but this is just ridiculous.

I vaguely recall the '83 winter storm. Had an old Toyota Celica, and just had to get to the hospital for duty, some twelve miles away. I drove that car like a Jeep in 4 wheel drive on the northern most part of the Outer Banks, taking hills and having thrills all the way to the hospital.

Yep, our high schoolers are getting antsy all right. gone through xbox, pingpong, pizza. There's always the hot tub. And ....homework! :D

I'm from Fairfax - live in McLean (north of Falls Church and Tyson's Corner) and my school is near Annandale (though technically part of Alexandria).

:uarrow: Yes. They have a great geophysics course here for seniors (I might have to take it as an elective though)!

The snow is supposed to start before noon, so I'm hoping that there will be a 2-hour early release.
