They are trying to congeal into a line. Initially though the segments could spin up brief tornadoes.

Funny some areas under tornado warnings might see some snow in the morning!

I got caught driving in the blowup over Tyler. Very heavy rain.

18z NAMs drag snow across the northern burbs of DFW.

Those cells coming up into Dallas look kind of suspicious

That storm just to the east of Decatur means business.

I’m surprised to see more cells near San Angelo behind the main line.

That squall is massive and I think it’s only going to get bigger.

Special 21Z sounding out of Texas A&M. Quite an unstable airmass.

Yikes. I've spent the last 2 hours tracking my son on apple location services as he drove from Dallas to Fayetteville AR. He was just barely ahead of the squall line moving through central OK. One town was tornado warned about 30 minutes after he passed through. Scary.

Luckily, storms have had a hard time getting going out ahead of the line across DFW with a lingering cap in place. Looks like the cells east of DFW are really starting to ramp up but it looks like DFW dodged a bullet and will just have the one line pushing through.

Probably should cancel the FFW for DFW. Insanely thin line of storms moving rapidly. I doubt I see .50.

Yeah unless a cell pops up over parts of DFW, this squall line doesn’t look too torrential.

Thin line seems a little earlier than expected. There is a tornado warned storm to the southwest of Dallas. Is the cold front in sync with this line or behind it?

Meanwhile, looking past the severe weather, the GFS is trending in the wrong direction....

Radar should fill in some as the line moves east. Wise County is up over 5" already. It's hard to tell in advance where the training storms will setup.
